Hi everyone – I want to thank you for praying for us while we were away and to send you a brief report of the trip
For me personally it was quite tough physically at times as I picked up a virus just a few days before we left for our destination and was fighting it for most of the time we were there. However, at the same time it was very exciting and we believe the whole trip will prove to be significant. Phil Davies from Calne, and Barrie Wright from here in Twerton joined me on the team and it was a good combination leading to lots of fun!
We had many great opportunities to proclaim the Kingdom of God, the reign of Jesus, in both words and signs, took 12 planned ministry sessions (plus several spontaneous ones) and saw numbers of people healed in every single meeting! This was in spite of me having to sleep in between some sessions in order to regain strength before we entered the next session! We are surely wounded healers!
The highlights were several people instantly set free from pain in some of the meetings, seeing people healed in their working environment as we prayed in the council offices with members of the public looking on, a queue of children from the children’s choir receiving prayer, healing and a touch from Jesus as they were overwhelmed by his love and Presence, and a child with an in-turned foot seeing the foot straighten out before the watching gaze of a mother whose eyes streamed with tears as Phil prayed and Jesus moved in!
Another man was healed almost instantly from a fractured knee and was able to walk normally and without pain.
In one meeting a woman came forward and said she read her bible, attended church, and wanted to come to Jesus but did not feel worthy because she was gay. We told her God loved her, we were not there to judge her and that Jesus wanted her to come to Him as she was, encouraging her to simply ask Jesus to show her if there was anything in her life He wanted to change. As she heard those words she yielded to Him, the power and love of God overwhelmed her and she fell to the floor. She was almost immediately set free of some demonic oppression as she was filled with the Father’s love and rose up a new woman! God is good all the time!
We ministered at a Pastors conference with a couple of hundred people present, a Youth Conference with many over-age participants and ended up with 400-500 people in attendance on the last night
We travelled to a large city and ministered to a Church network that was hurting over a recent split, and had the privilege of sharing God’s love with them, having their 7 church leadership teams represented, along with some native Indians, and a couple of law enforcement officers……..at the same meeting one lady was healed of arthritic pain and another from constant pain in her coccyx since giving birth.
We had opportunity to visit the local Council offices, and were warmly welcomed by the head Prefect who is in charge of the council and directs the police force. He came to every meeting we held and later drove two hours just to bring us a gift!
We prayed in Council offices, preached and ministered healing in the Council Chamber and were on our way to share the message of the Kingdom with 5000 people in a baseball stadium before we had to turn back because of torrential rain! The previous year only 100 people had turned up to the same event! The Lord showed us He could arrange anything at anytime and anywhere He wanted to………
On the last evening we experienced a time of praise which rose and fell with shouts and chants like powerful waves for maybe 45 minutes conducted by the Holy Spirit, some healings through words of knowledge and a Holy Spirit breakout among the 400-500 people present as we anointed the main leader of the movement with oil. Hearts were being healed and the fire of God was falling on almost everyone present. As the meeting drew to a close there was a holy hush as people looked on accompanied in the background by the sensitive and gentle playing of a piano. It was an awesome evening and a memorable and unexpected climax to a great trip.
Thank you once again for partnering with us through your prayers. I hope this has given you at least a flavour of what the Lord was doing.
With Love and gratitude
Andrew
